Evansville Slew, one of the top sires in Oklahoma in recent years, died Jan. 27 from complications related to colic, said Don Waits, manager of Randy Gammill's Diamond G Ranch.
Ralph Evans' grade II winner March Magic has been retired from racing and bred April 26 to Unbridled's Song.
The major players for the Breeders' Cup Distaff (gr. I) remained on the sidelines over the past weekend, waiting for the Overbrook Spinster Stakes (gr. I) at Keeneland and the Beldame Stakes (gr.
