Juddmonte Farms' Jibboom came into the Lexus Raven Run (gr. II) off two seconds in allowance company, was making just her fourth career start, and had to run down 12 other fillies. But Oct. 20, going seven furlongs over Keeneland's Polytrack, the filly won her first graded stakes event with a bang.

Edmund Gann's Seaside Affair tops a full field of 14 fillies entered in the Oct. 20 Lexus Raven Run Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland. Going seven furlongs over the Polytrack, the John Sadler trainee is after her first graded win following a victory in Del Mar's Torry Pines Stakes Sept. 2.
Leah's Secret emerged from the pack mid-stretch and held off fellow outsider Vestrey Lady to win the $300,000 Lexus Raven Run (gr. II) for 3-year-old fillies, creating some huge payoffs at Keeneland Saturday.
Keeneland is gearing up for its 2005 fall meeting Oct.7-29, which will distribute more than $10.5 million in total purses and will serve as a springboard for the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships Oct. 29 at Belmont.
