A total of 193 horses were reported sold for gross receipts of $7,663,700, an 8.6% jump over the same sale a year ago when 189 youngsters sold for a total of $7,053,000.

Peeping Tom is based in New York in the barn of trainer Patrick Reynolds. A gelded son of Eagle Eyed, Pepping Tom has won six of 14 career starts, including four of his last five outings.

Under jockey Chris McCarron, Freespool completed the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:02.50 on a fast track. McCarron and Freespool teamed to win the last running of the El Conejo, Jan. 2, making this the second time in 2000 the two have won the race.
