At the five-sixteenths pole in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), Sweet Catomine was blocked and in need of racing room. But having to check was no big deal for the daughter of Storm Cat. Corey Nakatani steered her out of harm's way and she rolled by the other 11 members of the field as the crowd at Lone Star Park cheered her on.

Art Preston of Prestonwood Farm has purchased a half-interest in Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) contender Shesastonecoldfox from Dennis and Deborah Petrisak's Langpap Stables, who also bred the filly. Preston attempted to purchase the filly outright over the weekend, but a disagreement over the deadline to complete the deal caused it to fall through.

Barry Irwin, the head of Team Valor, co-owner with Heiligbrodt Racing of Cashier's Dream, has already indicated the Oct. 6 Frizette Stakes (gr. I) at Belmont Park is his filly's Breeders' Cup. In other words, the Steve Asmussen-trained daughter of Service Stripe will be going all-out to win the 1 1/16-mile event as if the 2-year-old filly championship is on the line.
