McPeek Pair, Siphonic Work Sunday

Trainer Ken McPeek sent out a pair of Kentucky Derby prospects for exercise at Gulfstream Park Sunday. Harlan's Holiday went five furlongs in :59 2/5, handily, while Repent breezed three furlongs in :36 1/5. Also working Sunday was Derby future-book favorite Siphonic, who went seven furlongs in 1:26 2/5, handily, at Hollywood Park.

Siphonic's Kentucky Derby Trek to Begin in Santa Catalina

Millennium Wind Blows into Skywalker

Millennium Wind, unraced since an 11th-place effort in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I), makes his return to the track in today's $74,000 Skywalker Handicap over a flat mile at Santa Anita. The Cryptoclearance colt captured the grade I Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland by a front-running 5 1/4 lengths under Laffit Pincay Jr., who shows up on his back again today.

Keeneland's graded stakes races Saturday displayed a study of contrasts. About an hour after 9-year-old Bet On Sunshine closed from last place in the $166,470 Phoenix Breeders' Cup Stakes (gr. III) to earn his 21st victory from 41 starts, 2-year-old Siphonic led from start to finish in the $281,728 Lane's End Breeders' Futurity Stakes (gr. II).
