A Gold Fever colt brought the top price of $180,000 ($97,470 American) Monday during the first session of the Classic yearling sale conducted by William Inglis & Son in Australia. Consigned by Reaville Farm, he was purchased by Sam Li for his Pastore Pty. Ltd. racing syndicate. Li also bought two Strategic colts for $75,000 ($40,612) and $50,000 ($27,075).
