The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association will hold its New and Prospective Owners Seminar at Belmont Park Friday, Oct. 28, the day before the 22nd running of the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships.
The Greatest Game, the Thoroughbred industry program that seeks to expand the scope of horse ownership by attracting and retaining new investors in the sport, will participate in "The Great American Horse Exposition Equine Affaire" at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, April 7.
The board of directors of the Race For Education voted to award $300,000 in scholarship money this year to young people in the equine industry, bringing the total amount the group has awarded since its inception in 2002 to $725,000.

Gay Fisher has been named director of marketing and communications for the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association. She will be responsible for managing TheGreatestGame.com, membership development, and the organization's annual awards dinner.
