Cautiously Optimistic at FT Midlantic

If two words could sum up the thoughts of the consignors and sale company officials on the eve of the 2008 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Eastern Fall yearling sale, those words could be 'cautiously optimistic.' The sale kicks off its three-day run Sept. 29 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Md., with sessions beginning at 10 a.m.

David Wade, agent, purchased the stakes-placed Citidancer mare Immune to Gloom for $40,000 to top the opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic December mixed sale at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium Dec. 2.

Stormy Atlantic Colt Tops Fasig-Tipton Opening Session

The opening session of the 2004 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-year-olds in training sale at Timonium started off with a bang when a colt by Stormy Atlantic was purchased for $300,000. Jimmy Bell purchased the colt, acting on behalf of bloodstock agent John Ferguson, from the consignment of his breeder, Arthur Appleton's Bridlewood Farm.

Midlantic 2-Year-Old Sale Has Largest Catalogue

The 2-year-old in training sales market that has been rolling like a steam roller through 2004 will hit the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale grounds at Timonium when the two-day sale gets underway on May 17 and concludes May 18. Both sessions begin at 10 a.m.
