NBC Sports has won the Eclipse Award for live television programming for its broadcast of the 2014 Breeders' Cup Classic (gr. I), the 11th such award for the network.
Finalists for 2014 Eclipse Awards will be announced Wednesday, Jan. 7, during a 30-minute program on HRTV that will begin at 11:30 a.m. EST.
The National Thoroughbred Racing Association announced Jan. 11 that the breeders of horses that won Breeders' Cup World Championships races at last November's event will be recognized at the Eclipse Awards ceremony.
For the seventh consecutive year, TVG will air the Eclipse Awards dinner from the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel on Monday, Jan. 17.

Because of construction problems that have delayed the opening of the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood Fla., the 31st annual Eclipse Awards Dinner is being moved to the grand ballroom at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort in Miami Beach.
The Eclipse Award dinner honoring champions of 2000 has been changed to a new date and location, according to the National Thoroughbred Racing Association. Originally scheduled for the New Orleans Ritz-Carlton on Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, the dinner will be held one day later, Jan. 30, at the Saenger Theatre, also in New Orleans.
