Alice duPont Mills, a longtime Thoroughbred owner and breeder as well as a lifelong philanthropist, died March 13 after a brief illness. She was 83.
Veteran stallion Believe It, who finished third to Affirmed and Alydar in the 1978 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I), will be relocated to John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II near Reddick, Fla., for the 2001 breeding season.
