Citing a decline of in-state wagering, Turf Paradise in Phoenix, Arizona announced Jan. 18 that it would reduce the purses of six stakes races.
Monday, January 18, 2010Staten Island pounced on her foes in the $75,000 Arizona Oaks for 3-year-old fillies at Turf Paradise, drawing away to a 2 3/4-length victory for locally based trainer Kevin Lewis at odds of better than 5-1.
Saturday, February 17, 2007Turf Paradise will open its 47th season of live racing with a 169-day meet, running from Sept. 26 through May 16, 2004. Live racing will be conducted five days a week, Friday through Tuesday, with first post set for 12:30 pm.
