By Ray Paulick -- While efforts to reform the bloodstock market have been stalled since the introduction of a Code of Ethics in 2004, a rallying cry can be heard from across the ocean as the new president of the Thoroughbred Breeders' Association in England calls for reform.

TOBA Partners with Exclusive Resorts

The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced Tuesday that TOBA will be an exclusive partner with Exclusive Resorts, a leader in the new consumer segment of luxury residence clubs. The partnership originated out of interest in the National Awards Dinner to be held Sept. 9 at the Kentucky Horse Park. Exclusive Resorts identified TOBA members as a niche market for their product.

Education on Sale Code of Ethics to Start at Fasig-Tipton Calder Sale

It's been pretty quiet since the Sales Integrity Task Force released its code of ethics for public Thoroughbred auctions late last year. But that will change beginning with the Fasig-Tipton Florida select sale of 2-year-olds in training on Tuesday at Calder Race Course, according to WinStar Farm co-owner Bill Casner, who heads a committee formed to publicize the code of ethics.
