Fountain of Youth Still the Plan for Maybry's Boy

Trainer Shug McGaughey said Sunday that Maybry's Boy, a beaten favorite Hutcheson in Saturday's Hutcheson Stakes (gr. III), is still on track for the 1 1/16-mile Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. I) despite his fourth-place finish in the seven-furlong sprint. Meanwhile, the Hutcheson one-two finishers are less likely to start in the Feb. 16 Fountain of Youth as their respective trainers don't particularly like the two-week spacing between races.

Request for Parole Takes WEBN Frog Stakes

Trainer Stephen Margolis entered a pair of Judge T C colts in Saturday's $49,500 WEBN Frog Stakes, and the two justified their odds of 3-5 with one of the two colts holding the lead at every call in the one-mile test for 3-year-olds. Margolis-trained Request for Parole charged from just off the pace to win the race by 1 1/2 lengths over Perfect Drift.
