In the early wagering, Magic Weisner, who ran second to War Emblem in the Preakness Stakes (gr. I), is 5-1, followed closely by Perfect Drift, the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) third at 6-1, and Peter Pan (gr. II) winner Sunday Break and Derby second and Preakness third Proud Citizen each at 8-1.

Post time for the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) is 6:10 p.m.

The complete early odds, in post order, are:
Artax Too, 70-1
Like a Hero, 28-1
Wiseman's Ferry, 19-1
Essence of Dubai, 20-1
Sunday Break, 8-1
Perfect Drift, 6-1
Puzzlement, scratched
Medaglia D'Oro, 15-1
Proud Citizen, 8-1
War Emblem, 1-1
Magic Weisner, 5-1
Sarava, 80-1
