Preakness runner-up Magic Weisner arrived at Belmont Park at 1:30 Friday afternoon following an uneventful van ride from his home base at Laurel. The son of Ameri Valay was accompanied by owner/trainer Nancy Alberts and David Brown, a groom for Tony Dutrow, who helps out Alberts with Magic Weisner whenever the horse travels. He was bedded down in Barn 6, right next to Perfect Drift.

"He traveled beautifully and settled right in," Alberts said. "I was very proud of him. They told me I was going to run into traffic problems, but it was a good trip."

Magic Weisner's coat looked so much better than it did before the Preakness, where his coat looked dull. The change in three weeks is amazing. He now has a rich, glowing shine to his coat.
