Spanish Fern Withdrawn From Ramona

The original eight-horse field for Saturday's $400,000 Ramona Handicap (gr. IT) at Del Mar has been reduced to seven with the scratch of Juddmonte Farm's Spanish Fern. The Bobby Frankel trainee was a surprise entrant when entries were taken on Thursday.
Tout Charmant will go to post as the 120-pound highweight in Saturday's race. Tout Charmant suffered her first loss on Del Mar's turf course when second to Tranquility Lake in last month's Palomar Handicap (gr. IIIT), and she will once again face Miss of Wales, the third-place finisher in the Palomar.
The field for the 1 1/8-mile turf race will consist of:
