As Chicago commuters hurry by, Arlington Park bugler Joe Kelly plays the "call to the post" Monday morning.
In a unique promotion of the 75th Arlington Park race meet that gets underway Wednesday, track bugler Joe Kelly made a "pop-up" appearance at different locations during the Monday morning rush-hour in downtown Chicago.
As commuters hurried by on foot and in cars, Kelly played the "call to the post" that is played prior to each race at Arlington and other North American track. The promotion was organized by Serafin & Associates.
In another promotion associated with Arlington's opener Wednesday, the track is conducting a drawing in which two patrons will be given trips for two to New York for this weekend's Triple Crown attempt by War Emblem in the Belmont Stakes.
