Millionaire Mr Purple Dead

California stallion Mr Purple was euthanized May 30 because of complications from heart problems. Mr Purple, who stood at Ellen Jackson's Victory Rose Thoroughbreds near Vacaville, was owned by his breeder, Alex Campbell Jr.
Ten-year-old Mr Purple (Deputy Minister--Turk O Witz, by Stop the Music) scored his major win in the 1996 Santa Anita Handicap (gr. I) and won four other stakes on his way to $1,133,538 in total earnings. He stood at several farms during his career and sired two stakes winners.
