Owners Robert Baker, David Cornstein, and Bill Mack will donate their share of purse money earned by Proud Citizen in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) to the Twin Towers Fund, according to a New York Times report.

The owners, according to the report, have also guaranteed a donation of at least $100,000 to the fund, which helps family members of firefighters, police officers, and rescuers who were injured or died at the World Trade Center on September 11.

The D. Wayne Lukas-trained colt finished second in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and third in the Preakness (gr. I). The 3-year-old jogged Thursday at Churchill Downs.
