Grade I winner Wild Rush was represented by his first winner when Spring Rush won May 22 at Lone Star Park for owners Leland and Sue Cook. Bred by Brereton C. Jones, Spring Rush defeated another Wild Rush filly, Colee Bear, in 1:00.20 for five furlongs. Winner of the 1998 Metropolitan (gr. I) and Carter (gr. I) Handicaps, Wild Rush (Wild Again--Rose Park, by Plugged Nickle) stands at Frank Stronach's Adena Spring Kentucky near Midway.
