Belmont Park Gears Up For Third Leg of Triple Crown On Sunday, turf fans will get a full field for the $75,000 Kingston Handicap for New York-bred at nine furlongs on the grass. Affair in the Air, Bicentennial, Brave One, Chasin' Wimmin, Eye of the Comet, Haggs Castle, I'm All Yours, Light Up The Sky, No White Flags, Quiet Ruler, Reluctant Groom, Robbie's Rockin and Whitmore's Conn.On Memorial Day, the $750,000 Metropolitan Handicap (gr. I), takes center stage as Affirmed Success brings a two-race winning streak to the Met Mile. His most recent victory was in the Carter Handicap (gr. I) at Aqueduct. Expected to challenge Affirmed Success in the Met Mile are Aldebaran, Burning Roma, Crafty C.T., D'Wildcat, E Dubai, Grey Memo, Left Bank, Redattore, Voodoo and Wake at Noon, with Swept Overboard listed as questionable.The Monday card also features the $100,000 Jaipur Handicap (gr. IIIT) for 3-year-olds and up at seven furlongs on the turf.
