Trainer Wally Dollase returned from a two-day trip to Ireland, where he purchased group III winner Stonemason from Mrs. John Magnier for Richard Duchossois.
Stonemason is a 3-year-old son of Nureyev who finished fourth in the Leopardstown Two Thousand Guineas Trial Stakes in his only start this year. He completed his juvenile campaign in October, winning the seven-furlong Killavullan Stakes (Ire-III) on yielding turf when conditioned by Aidan O'Brien. Thus far in his career, Stonemason has won two of five career starts.
Dollase arrived back in time to watch Citation Handicap (gr. IIT) winner Good Journey work four furlongs in :48 1/5 Thursday morning at Hollywood Park.
"Good Journey is back after I gave him two months off," said Dollase. "He should be ready to run the first week in June."
