Mrs. John Magnier's Sequoyah swept past La Vida Loca to take the lead with just over a furlong to run en route to a 2 1/2-length victory over Hotelgenie Dot Com in Sunday's Moyglare Stud Stakes (Ire-I) at the Curragh. The 2-year-old filly, trained by Aidan O'Brien, completed the seven furlongs in 1:26.7 over good turf with Jamie Spencer in the irons.

The win is the second for Sequoyah (Sadler's Wells--Brigid, by Irish River) from four starts. In her racing debut in July, she finished third in the Anheuser Busch 2-year-old Railway Stakes (Ire-III). She was bred in Ireland by Brittas House Stud.

Mala Mala finished third, a head behind Hotelgenie Dot Com. La Vida Loca was fourth of 10 runners.
