Apprentice Jockey Hospitalized After Spill at Calder

Apprentice jockey Patra Jean was injured after being unseated from her mount during the fourth race at Calder Sunday. She was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital for evaluation. Medical technicians in the jockeys' first aid room detected no apparent injuries.
The mishap occurred when Multimillionaire clipped heels with another horse, unseating Jean just past the three-sixteenths pole. Multimillionaire was not injured in the incident.
