Sham Stakes winner U S S Tinosa worked six furlongs in 1:14 3/5 at Bay Meadows Friday and will ship to Louisville Saturday ahead of a possible start in the Kentucky Derby (gr. I).
Following his six-furlong work, the Jerry Hollendorfer trainee galloped out seven furlongs in 1:27. Russell Baze was in the irons for the work.
Should U S S Tinosa draw into the Derby field, Kent Desormeaux will ride him. An Ohio-bred son of Foxhound, U S S Tinosa has won three of 10 career starts with each of his wins coming in restricted stakes races. Most recently he finished fifth in the Santa Anita Derby (gr. I).
