Ponche Colt Works Fastest Three Furlongs at OBSC Under Tack Show

A son of Ponche out of the Dr. Schwartzman mare Operate Quick posted the fastest three-furlong work Friday at the Ocala Breeders' Sales Company's under tack show for its spring 2-year-olds in training sale.
The colt, hip number 810, completed the drill in :34. He is consigned by Greg and Karen Dodd's Southern Chase Farm, Agent.
Two half-siblings to stakes winners completed three-furlong works in :34 1/5. Hip number 620 (Jeblar--Lady of America, by Fortunate Prospect), a half-brother of Darling Jeb consigned by Farnsworth Farms, Agent, and hip number 904, a daughter of Storm Creek--Ralip to Win consigned by Robert Harris, Agent. The latter is a half-sister to Goldarama.
Hip numbers 708 and 829 turned in the co-fastest quarter-mile works. The former is by Appealing Skier out of Marque of Vogue, by Marquetry. The bay colt was consigned by Halcyon Hammock Farm, Agent. Hip number 829 is a Copper Man colt out of the Hooched mare Penny Hooch consigned by M & H Training and Sales, Agent.
Six horses worked a furlong in :10 2/5, including hip number 833, a Diligence filly who is a half-sister to three stakes winners.
The sale begins Monday and concludes Thursday with all sessions starting at 9 a.m. Results of the under tack show can be accessed at the sales company's Web site. Videotapes of the works can be viewed at the sales grounds.
