Tampa Bay Downs Hikes Purses

Tampa Bay Downs announced that a 5% across the board increase in overnight purses will go into effect Monday, April 15. This will bring the average daily purse distribution back to the track's highest level in its 76-year history, averaging $104,000 per day, including FTBOA monies.

"Business has exceeded expectations in the last 30 days," said Peter Berube, vice president and general manager. "The restoration of the out-of-state signals plus the switch to Monday live racing has enabled us to increase the overnight purse structure for our horsemen."
