Snow Ridge, unbeaten in three starts in 2002, drew post seven as the 120 pound highweight in the 11-horse Carter Handicap (gr. I) field at Aqueduct Saturday.
The seven-furlong $350,000 Carter is a supporting feature on the Wood Memorial (gr. I) card.
Snow Ridge ships in from California, where this year he has been an impressive winner of the San Carlos (gr. I), Palos Verdes (gr. II) and El Conejo (gr. III), all at Santa Anita.
Trained by D. Wayne Lukas, the Overbrook Farm runner will be ridden again by Mike Smith.
Bobby Frankel, who remains one of the hottest trainers in the land, runs Shibboleth in the Carter off one North American start. Shipping from England, he finished second in a March 22 allowance race at Santa Anita. Kent Desormeaux rides the Juddmonte Farms entrant.
Dream Run has won two straight, including in his most recent outing, the Gulfstream Park Breeders' Cup Sprint Championship Handicap (gr. II). Pat Day ships in from Kentucky to ride for trainer Paul McGee. He is owned by John D. Murphy Jr.
Burning Roma, who ran third to Dream Run last out, and last year's Carter winner, Peeping Tom, are among the competitors.
