Harlan's Holiday Leads Workouts

Several key players in this weekend's Triple Crown prep races had workouts Thursday morning. On Saturday, the Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) will be run in Kentucky at Keeneland, the Wood Memorial (gr. I) will be contested at Aqueduct in New York, and the Arkansas Derby (gr. I) will close out the meet at Oaklawn Park in Arkansas.

Harlan's Holiday, the 6-5 favorite in the six-horse Blue Grass field, worked four furlongs in :47.60 for trainer Kenny McPeek at Churchill Downs.

Blue Burner, who will run in the Wood for Bill Mott, went five furlongs in 1:01.56 at Belmont. Another Wood entrant, Buddha, worked at Payson Park in Florida before shipping north. He worked five furlongs in 1:01.20. He is trained by James Bond.

Easyfromthegitgo, trained by Steve Asmussen and headed to the Lexington Stakes, went six furlongs in 1:14 at Churchill.
