Major stakes winner and producer Desert Stormer foaled a Kris S. colt April 3. Boarded at Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky., the colt was bred by Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Stud and is a half-brother to Keeneland grade II winner Sahara Gold (by Seeking the Gold). Winner of the 1995 Breeders' Cup Sprint (gr. I), Desert Stormer (Storm Cat--Breezy Stories, by Damascus) is booked to Seeking the Gold.
