Jockey David Flores will be in Dubai Saturday to ride Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I) winner Tempera in the Melbourne Racing Club UAE Oaks at Nad Al Sheba.
The daughter of A.P. Indy--Colour Chart, by Mr. Prospector was a bit off form in her 3-year-old debut in a one-mile race at Nad Al Sheba on March 14 when ridden by Godolphin's top jockey Frankie Dettori. For the Oaks, she will be reunited with Flores, who has been in the irons for all three of the filly's career victories.
Aside from the Breeders' Cup win, Eclipse Award winner Tempera also won the Sorrento Stakes (gr. II) at Del Mar and finished third in the Del Mar Debutante Stakes (gr. I) won by Habibti.
Kentucky Oaks hopefuls Habibti and You put in works ahead of the grade I race. Habibti worked six furlongs at Santa Anita Tuesday, getting the distance in 1:12 for trainer Bob Baffert. Bobby Frankel-trained rival You countered Wednesday with a five-furlong work in 1:01 3/5 at Hollywood Park.
