Victory Rides contests Wednesday's Madison Stakes, her first start since this victory in last year's Test Stakes.
Keeneland's $100,000 Madison Stakes on the Wednesday card has drawn a field of eight fillies steeped in graded stakes success. The 123-pound high weight under Hall of Famer Pat Day is Nasty Storm, the Dallas Stewart-trained filly who concluded her 2001 campaign with three consecutive stakes victories. A Gulch filly who has won six of 15 career starts, with earnings of $586,853, Nasty Storm won last fall's Churchill Downs Distaff (gr. II) in her last start.

Another Madison starter returning off a lengthy layoff is Victory Ride, whose three victories in four career starts included the grade I Test Stakes at Saratoga. The Seeking the Gold filly trained by Rusty Arnold is making her first outing since the Test.

Shipping in from California is Collect Call, a multiple grade III winner with grade I and II placings to her credit. Trained by Christopher Paasch, the daughter of Meadowlake has three wins from 12 starts, with earnings of $379,055.

The field for the seven-furlong Madison, from the rail out:

1--Collect Call, Kent Desormeaux
2--Celtic Melody, Mark Guidry
3--Nasty Storm, Pat Day
4--Victory Ride, Edgar Prado
5--City Fair, Robby Albarado
6--Away, Jorge Chavez
