Night Shift Colt Tops Sale of 2-Year-Olds in France

A Night Shift colt was sold for 107,000 Euros ($94,053) to top the Goffs France sale of 2-year-olds in training on Saturday. Produced from the unraced Henbit mare Crumpetsfortea, he is a half-brother to 2001 Prix Miesque (Fr-III) winner Contemporary (by Alzao). French trainer Robert Collet purchased the colt from Mockershill Stables.
In all, 69 horses were sold for a gross of 1,716,800 Euros ($1,509.067) and an average of 24,881 Euros ($21,870). Compared to a year ago, the gross was up 9% and the average was up by 11%, according to the sale company.
