Fusaichi Pegasus completed his second three-furlong work in less than a week Wednesday at Hollywood Park. The Neil Drysdale trainee completed the drill in :38 2/5 while breezing over the fast main track. Last Thursday, the Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner went the same distance in :39 1/5 in his first serious work since suffering a minor foot injury prior to the Belmont Stakes (gr. I).
Fusao Sekiguchi’s Mr. Prospector colt is expected to have a brief fall campaign with the main goal being the Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I) at Churchill Downs in November. He will then be retired to stud at Ashford Stud near Versailles, Ky.
