Cee Dreams, a $20,000 claim who won last year's $150,000 California Cup Matron Handicap, has been euthanized. The 6-year-old daughter of Cee's Tizzy suffered a training injury in January and underwent an operation in which her right foreleg was amputated below the knee. In an attempt to save her for broodmare purposes, she was fitted for a prosthesis, but foundered on her left foreleg and was put down.

Bred by Ron Gomez, Cee Dreams won the Cal Cup for owners Frank Alesia, Michael Mellen's Bran Jam Stable, and Mike Ciaglia. The group claimed her in the fall of 1999 at Hollywood Park through trainer Peter Eurton.

Cee Dreams, who was produced from the Doonesbury mare Dreamsbury, also won last year's E.B. Johnston Stakes. She captured 11 of 40 starts and earned $433,318.
