Adelphia Communications on April 1 launched the TV Games Network on digital cable television in certain parts of Los Angeles.
The first phase of Adelphia's California rollout puts TVG in homes in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Ontario, Santa Ana, Glendora, Monrovia, Diamond Bar, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Seal Beach, Newport Beach, and San Dimas.
"This is an important early step forward for TVG in the California marketplace," TVG president Mark Wilson said. "With the introduction of advanced graphics and production quality on our television network, the opening of Hollywood Park on April 24, and the start of the Triple Crown just around the corner, the Adelphia launch comes at a great time for us to attract new fans and customers with the best that racing has to offer."
Los Alamitos currently is the only California track whose races are shown on TVG. That is expected to change April 24 with the opening of Hollywood Park, a TVG partner.
