Honor Glide, who remains the only winner of the Mid-America Triple, has been retired from racing following an unplaced effort in the March 23 Pan American Handicap (gr. IIT). Breeding plans are incomplete for the 8-year-old Florida-bred horse, who is owned by his breeder, Bonnie Heath Farm, in partnership with Robert G. Schaedle III.

A son of Honor Grades, Honor Glide achieved his "Turf Triple" in 1997 when he captured the Arlington Classic (gr. IIT) in course-record-equaling time of 1:47.59 for 1 1/8 miles, then went on to win the Primeco American Derby (gr. IIT) and Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT). Honor Glide also was a graded stakes winner in two other years. He captured the 1999 Bowling Green (gr. IIT) and Sword Dancer Invitational (gr. IT) Handicaps in consecutive starts at Belmont Park and won the 2001 Niagara Breeders' Cup Handicap (Can-IIT) at Woodbine.

Honor Glide retires with 11 wins from 38 starts and earnings of $1,397,187. His dam, Becky Branch (by Run the Gantlet), is a full sister to international turf champion April Run.
