Mrs. Henri Devin and Mrs. Biden Ashbrooke's 5-year-old mare Terre a Terre defeated Noverre by three-quarters of a length to win the $2 million Dubai Duty Free (UAE-I) on Saturday night at Nad Al Sheba. Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) winner Val Royal came home fifth of 16.

Under Christophe Soumillon, the Eric Libaud-trained daughter of Kaldounevees completed the about nine furlongs in 1:48.75 on good turf. Hoeberg finished third, a length behind Noverre and 1 1/4 lengths ahead of Golden Silca. Jim and Tonic finished seventh, with Del Mar Show 10th under Jerry Bailey.

The win adds a second career group I win to Terre a Terre resume, as the French-bred bay previously won the Prix de L'Opera (Fr-I) last year at Longchamp. In her most recent start prior to Saturday, she finished third in the Hong Kong Cup (HK-I) behind Agnes Digital and Tobougg. The win improves her career mark to seven victories from 18 starts.
