Stakes-Placed Windsong Retired; To Be Bred to Giant's Causeway

Robert S. Evans' Windsong, who twice finished second in a graded stakes race, has been retired to Taylor Made Farm and will be bred to Giant's Causeway. In her last start, Windsong finished third in the Suwanee River Handicap (gr. IIIT) won by Snow Dance.

"She was a hard-knocking mare," said Flint "Scotty" Schulhofer, who trained her prior to his retirement. "She finished second in the Orchid Stakes (gr. IIT) here last year and we thought briefly of keeping her around for the race this year. But our original plans were to retire her after her last and we kept to the plans. She's already gone to the Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky and she'll be bred to Giant's Causeway."

Windsong (Unbridled -- Falconese, by Imperial Falcon) retires with four wins from 24 career starts and earnings of $248,860.
