Ray Paulick, editor-in-chief of The Blood-Horse, and Barry Irwin will be sigining books at Santa Anita Park from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Santa Anita Derby day, April 6. Paulick will be signing "Sunday Silence," which details ths career of the 1989 Santa Anita winner. Irwin will be signing "Swaps," which is about the California horse who won the Santa Anita Derby in 1955. Both books were published by the Eclipse Press division of The Blood-Horse Inc. ... Posters for the 128th renewals of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks were honored with four 2002 Louie Awards by the Advertising Federation of Louisville, a group of the region's leading advertising industry professionals. Banyu Dewi, co-second highweighted filly at 2 last season in Germany, has been syndicated by Team Valor of Versailles, Ky. The bay filly is expected to arrive at the Belmont Park barn of Bill Mott within the next two weeks. Banyu Dewi is by Poliglote, a Group 1-winning Sadler's Wells stallion. The filly is a half-sister to German champion Banyumanik and her second dam is German champion Indigene. ... Horse Fever, the public art project in Ocala, Fla., comes to a close Friday night when the live auction takes place at Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Plantation. The online auction closes March 21, and the live auction picks up at 5 p.m., March 22 at Live Oak.
