Roy and Gretchen Jackson and All Inn Stable announced Aug. 8 the retirement of millionaire and multiple graded-stakes winner Willcox Inn  , who will stand for $7,500 at Saratoga Stud.

Unraced this year, Willcox Inn won last year's Washington Park Handicap (gr. III) at Arlington Park, where he also won the 2011 American Derby (gr. IIT) and Arlington Classic Stakes. In 2011, Willcox Inn also won the Hawthorne Derby (gr. IIIT).

Three-times placed in grade I stakes, the 6-year-old Harlan's Holiday horse won six of 22 starts and earned $1,015,543. Bred in Kentucky out of the Gone West mare De Aar, Willcox Inn will stand for $7,500 at Saratoga Stud in Stillwater, N.Y.

"We are thrilled the New York breeders will get a chance to send their best mares to this talented son of the late Harlan's Holiday," Saratoga Stud's Suzie O'Cain said. "Willcox Inn was a quality, consistent graded- stakes winner, winning graded stakes on two surfaces, while starting at 10 different tracks nationwide, competing against the very best."

Gretchen Jackson believes Willcox Inn can excel in New York.

"We have had many exciting moments in racing, a lot of them were with Willcox Inn," Jackson said. "We want to give him the best chance to succeed at stud and feel New York is the right place to be."

Willcox Inn is scheduled to arrive at the farm in mid-August and will be available for inspection during the Saratoga race meet.
