Godolphin Racing's Street Cry will be ridden by Jerry Bailey in Saturday's Dubai World Cup.
Western Pride, the only U.S.-based horse in the field, drew the outside 11 post position for Saturday's $6-million Dubai World Cup (UAE-I). Southern California-based jockey Pat Valenzuela will be aboard. Meanwhile, Godolphin Racing announced that American jockey Jerry Bailey will be aboard Street Cry in the 1 1/4-mile race. Bailey has ridden three of the six Dubai World Cup winners -- Cigar (1996), Singspiel (1997) and Captain Steve (2001).
Godolphin's Sakhee, winner of last year's Grand Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and second in the Breeders' Cup Turf, will break from post 6 as the probable starting favorite for the 1 1/4-mile race at Nad al Sheba Racecourse. He will be ridden by Godolphin stable jockey Frankie Dettori.
