I Spent It First Winner for Super Saver

In his career debut July 2 at Belmont Park, I Spent It showed a good kick in the stretch to notch a three-quarter-length victory in a five-furlong maiden special weight race to become the first winner for freshman sire Super Saver   (VIDEO).

I Spent It is the 10th starter for 2010 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I) winner Super Saver, who stood the 2014 season for $17,500 at WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky.

I Spent It was the third-most expensive Super Saver 2-year-old sold at auction this year when owners Alex and JoAnn Lieblong went to $600,000 to land the colt at the  at the Fasig-Tipton Florida sale from consignor Eddie Woods, agent.

Bred in Kentucky by Dixiana Farms, I Spent It is out of the winning Sky Mesa   mare Rateeba.

Trained by Anthony Dutrow, I Spent It was guided to victory by jockey Javier Castellano, completing the five-furlong test in :58.11.
