Jockey Anibal Prado notched his 1,000th career victory as Philadelphia Park on Sunday, when he guided Run Judge Run to a neck-length victory in the track’s sixth race. Under Prado, the 3-year-old Judge Smells colt led at every call before completing the six-furlong $15,000 claiming race in 1:11.85 at odds of 7-1.

Prado spent 19 years riding in his native Peru before beginning his American career on the Maryland circuit in 1993. The 46-year-old rider settled at Philadelphia Park in 1996 after also riding at Delaware Park. Prado was Philadelphia Park’s leading rider of 1997.
