Runners by Coolmore's Central Kentucky-based Scat Daddy   dominated the finish of the Clasico Alberto Vial Infante (Chi-I) for 2-year-old colts June 20 at Club Hipico in Santiago, Chile, taking the top four places.

Fantasmagorico won the 1,600-meter (about one-mile) race by 2 1/2 lengths, with favorite Il Campione finishing second, El Manu taking third, and Katmai fourth in the 13-horse field. All were bred in Chile by Haras Paso Navado, where Scat Daddy shuttled from 2009 to 2011. The son of Johannesburg is a leading sire in Chile.

Trained by Guillermo Aguirre, Fantasmagorico turned the tables on Il Campione, who defeated him in the Criadores Macho (Chi-II) May 30. Il Campione is trained by Sergio Inda, who also conditions El Manu.

Fantasmagorico, who is the first starter out of the Fantastic Light mare Fantastic Show, earned his first stakes victory. His third dam is Embassy, European champion filly of 1997. The extended family includes Australian champion filly Atlantic Jewel.

Il Campione was produced from the Pleasant Tap mare Global Gold; El Manu is out of the Seeker's Reward mare So Linda.

Fourth-place finisher Katmai, who is out of the Fly So Free mare Kossanova, is trained by Juan Pablo Baeza.

Fantasmagorico is the sixth top-level winner for Scat Daddy, North America's leading freshman sire of 2011, who stands at Ashford Stud in Versailles, Ky.
