Spendthrift Farm's Ontario-based stallion Court Vision   will shuttle to Juan Carlos Harding's Haras Las Araucarias in Chile for the 2014 Southern Hemisphere breeding season.

A multiple grade I winner during his racing career, the 9-year-old son of Gulch stood his first three seasons at Park Stud in Ontario as property of Spendthrift, and he is the first stallion to be offered to Canadian breeders through Spendthrift's Share The Upside Program.

Court Vision's first crop are yearlings this year and hit the sales market this summer, including four cataloged in next month's Fasig-Tipton July sale in Lexington.

Court Vision posted a 9-4-4 record, including eight graded stakes wins, from 31 career starts and earned $3,746,658 in a five-season career. He tallied five grade I wins on turf, most notably the 2011 Breeders' Cup Mile as well as the 2010 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap and Woodbine Mile, 2009 Shadwell Turf Mile and 2008 Hollywood Derby. He also won the 2008 Jamaica Handicap (gr. IIT) and two graded stakes as a 2-year-old: the 2007 Remsem (gr. II) and Iroquois (gr. III). He placed second or third in seven other graded stakes, including four at the highest level.

The unraced Storm Bird mare Weekend Storm is the dam of Court Vision, who was bred in Kentucky by William S. Farish and Kilroy Thoroughbred Partnership. A full sister to classic winner and sire Summer Squall and a half sister to champion, classic winner and breed-shaping sire A.P. Indy, Weekend Storm also is the dam of six other stakes horses, including Canadian grade III winner Smart Surprise and multiple stakes winner Lord Snowdon, who was grade I-placed, both half siblings to Court Vision.

Court Vision's North America fee was $10,000 in 2014. His fee during the Southern Hemisphere breeding season has yet to be determined.

The shuttle deal was brokered by Sullivan Bloodstock in Chile in conjunction with Matt Bowling Bloodstock in Lexington.
