Hip No. 455, a Grand Slam colt out of the Black Tie Affair mare Beaux Arts Ball, was one of 3 to breeze a furlong in :10.

Completing the first book of next week's Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s June sale of 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age, Hip No.'s 401-600 breezed June 11 in the third of six under-tack previews at Ocala Training Center in Ocala, Fla.

The third session finished a bit later than the first two breeze shows as a fast-moving storm system interrupted proceedings for approximately 45 minutes toward the end of the final set. A second system socked the area shortly after the conclusion of the breeze show.

Three youngsters recorded the fastest furlong of the day, each stopping the timer in :10.

Hip No. 455, a gray or roan Grand Slam colt out of the stakes-placed Black Tie Affair (IRE) mare Beaux Arts Ball, is a half brother to graded stakes winner Nightmare Affair and graded stakes-placed Off the Richter. He is consigned by Tami Bobo's Secure Investments.

Bobo spent $35,000 to acquire the Florida-bred colt from the consignment of Sovereign Farm of Ocala at last year's OBS August yearling sale.

Casse Sales (Justin Casse), agent, consigns hip No. 519, a Super Saver   colt out of the unraced Cat Thief mare Centurian Lady, a half sister to grade I winner and millionaire Healthy Addiction.

The Kentucky-bred colt was consigned by Casse Sales to the OBS winter mixed sale earlier this year where he was purchased for $4,000 by Angel Ordonez.

Working in the final set of the day, Hip No. 558 is a New York-bred Kitten's Joy   colt out of the winning Candy Ride   mare Collar, a half sister to stakes-placed Scammony, consigned by Michael Paramore's Southern Cypress Stable.

The bay colt was bought for $35,000 by Craig Bernick of Glen Hill Farm out of the Hill 'n' Dale Sales Agency consignment at the 2013 Keeneland September sale.

"They (Glen Hill Farm) deserve the credit for getting this one ready," said Paramore. "He's been really good with me. I didn't expect that time, but I thought he would breeze somewhere close (to that time). He just got better every time we did something with him. He's a nice colt.

"He galloped out super, super strong," Paramore added. "The girl that rode him came back and said, 'Oh man, he just wouldn't stop.' So, she liked him a lot."

Two horses recorded the fastest quarter, each clocking the distance in :21.

Hip No. 406 is a dark bay or brown Scat Daddy   filly out of the winning Yes It's True mare April True consigned by Eddie Woods, agent. The Florida-bred hails from the female family of multiple stakes winner Abajo.

Mariela Inzuna Gastelin, agent, consigns hip No. 408, Gracen Joy, a gray or roan filly by Kitten's Joy. The New York-bred is out of Arazi Exchange, by Exchange Rate  , from the family of Canadian champion stayer Musketier   and graded stakes winner Miatuschka.

As a yearling, the filly was consigned by Patton's Place to the OBS August sale where she was purchased for $8,000 by Aboritanza Racing.

Hip No. 544, a gray or roan colt by Exchange Rate consigned by Wavertree Stables (Ciaran Dunne), agent, sped three eighths in :33 1/5  to post the fastest work of the session at the distance.

The colt, who went through the ring for Wavertree Stables at this year's Keeneland April sale and failed to meet his reserve on a final bid of $110,000, is out of the unraced Greinton (GB) mare Clap Happy and is a half brother to stakes winner and graded stakes-placed Crossing Point and two other stakes winners.

The under-tack preview resumes June 12 with hip No.'s 601-800 slated to breeze. The show will be streamed live at bloodhorse.com/OBS beginning at 7:30 a.m.
