Fasig-Tipton, KEEP Team in Funding Program

Fasig-Tipton Co. is partnering with the Kentucky Equine Education Project (KEEP) to sponsor its equine activities funding program throughout the state in 2014.

The KEEP's Grassroots Funding Program promotes the importance of the equine industry through the funding of local horse shows, 4-H clubs, educational activities, equine events, trail rides and therapeutic programs throughout Kentucky. Over the past 10 years, the program has contributed more than $600,000 to nearly 900 local horse shows, 4-H, Future Farmers of America, Therapeutic, trail riding and equine education organizations.

As part of the outreach, the board of directors of KEEP through the sponsorship of Fasig-Tipton will continue to provide grants for 2014.

"We look forward to working with KEEP to promote the equine industry throughout the state of Kentucky," said Boyd Browning, president of Fasig-Tipton.

Fasig-Tipton Co. is North America's oldest Thoroughbred auction company. In 1972, they established permanent Kentucky headquarters in Lexington, and organize year-round sales for Thoroughbred auctions across the country.

"KEEP is proud to have such a wonderful industry partner like Fasig-Tipton to step up and support our equine programs throughout the Commonwealth," said Bob Heleringer, executive director of KEEP. "With their kind support, we will continue our efforts to reach every area of the state."

KEEP encourages Kentucky affiliate clubs and 4-H horse groups to submit grant requests. For more information about the program and to submit an application, visit www.horseswork.com or contact Cara Stewart at cstewart@horseswork.com
