The Aga Khan's homebred Kalanisi, whose victory in the 2000 Breeders' Cup Turf (gr. IT) in his lone U.S. start resulted in an Eclipse Award, has made a fine start in his new career at his owner's Gilltown Stud in Ireland. His first 10 mares have been scanned in foal, including Daltawa, dam of 1999 Eclipse Award winner Daylami; Sidelined, a half-sister to English group I winner Belmez; and Lady Nasrana, a half-sister to U.S. grade I winner Janet.

Kalanasi (Doyoun--Kalamba, by Green Dancer) also scored a major win in the Dubai Champion Stakes (Eng-I) and earned a career total of $2.1 million.
