GII Victor Tizdejuvu Has First Winner

Multiple graded stakes winner Tizdejavu   was represented by his first winner as a stallion when his first starter, juvenile filly Miss Dejavu, prevailed by 1 3/4 lengths in the second race at Gulfstream Park May 26.

Tizdejavu stands for $5,000 at Pope McLean's Crestwood Farm near Lexington.

Trained by Randy Persaud for Reyana and Reya Racing, Miss Dejavu scored in her career debut at outsider odds of 22-1 in the 4 1/2-furlong maiden claiming contest. Out of the Miswaki mare My Leisha, Miss Dejavu was bred in Kentucky by Two Hearts Farm and Greg Fox.

While racing as a homebred for Michael Cooper and Pamela Ziebarth, Tizdejavu captured the Crown Royal American Turf Stakes (gr. IIIT), Jefferson Cup Stakes (gr. IIT), American Derby (gr. IIT), and Firecracker Handicap (gr. IIT), all in front-running fashion. He also placed in the Secretariat Stakes (gr. IT) as a 3-year-old.

Trained by Greg Fox, he won eight of 16 starts, for earnings of $693,153.

A Kentucky-bred, Tizdejavu is out of the winning Dixie Brass mare Remember When, who is a full sister to stakes winner Polished Brass. Tizdejavu is from the female family of grade I winner Birdonthewire.
